    Where did I go

Thursday, April 5, 2007, 02:25 PM EST [General]

Well I have been called by the waking Goddess to come play in the dirt. So that is where I have been for most of the month of March, playing in the dirt and picking out plants and starting to clear areas to put up planter boxes and ordering good healthy dirt since the native soil in my area is very clay and compact and not good for plants that need drainage. Between this need to commune with Earth and school I have neglected my blogs, bad Witch I know but I have needed to nurture my other interests and feel connected again. May you all enjoy the waking Goddess and find time to play in the dirt.

    Spring?

Sunday, February 25, 2007, 07:54 PM EST [General]

So Ostara is near and I am feeling the call of Mother Earth. I have had a deep need to plant and grow things, I have gone from the yarn addiction to the earth addiction. I ordered a new rose plant, dwarf blueberry bushes that are good for containers, and hummingbird vines to help me make a living wall of a headlight break. I have a vast expanse of windows that face a major street where I live and my hubby came up with the idea of string up vinyl coated garden fencing, and then training the vines up through it. This will give us something beautiful to look at, attract humming birds and butterflies and break up some of the car lights we get in the evenings through our front living room windows. Got to love an engineer with a fondness of growing things. They come up with such nifty plans.

What else, classes, UG. Let's just leave it at that.

Next, well my muse is still whispering in my ear, something about windows, eyes, key to the soul but I can't quite hear it over all the clatter of spring things calling. I need to pin it down, this is what happens I have a great poem start dancing in my head and the words just don't gel right off and I have to work it out over competing voices. Today for instance, we finally got a REAL snow, heavy wet slushy and big huge flakes, I mean ENORMOUS! I felt like a kid, was out driving in my 4 wheel drive truck and felt like a teenager and just wanted to stay out and play in the snow. Wished instead of running just errands that I had brought my film camera with a bunch of black and white film because I would have stayed out snapping shots until I couldn't feel my feet. Hence why I say competing voices, I guess I am an artist at heart, just one with way to many muses. Oh well next time I will have to remember to bring my camera. Maybe take some shots tomorrow before it all melts.

    Blessings to all.

    You are The High Priestess

    Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.
